Chronologie : 

- Le groupe a fait en 2009, la première partie des concerts de The Veronicas, un groupe pop rock australien.

- 17 mai 2010 : le single Make Me Wanna Die* sort après avoir été choisi pour figurer dans la bande son du film Kick Ass. Il se classe 1er dans les charts anglais rock.

- Juillet 2010 : le single Miss Nothing est dévoilé.

- 30/31 Août 2010 : l'album Light Me Up sort en Angleterre puis aux Etats-Unis. (Il atteint la 3ème place sur Itunes)

- 2 Novembre 2010 : c'est au tour du single Just Tonight d'être dévoilé.

- Année 2011: le groupe part en tournée à travers le monde, c'est le My Medicine Tour, fait également la première partie d'Evanescence au Royaume-Uni et ouvre plusieurs concerts des Guns N' Roses.

- 16 Février 2012 : le clip de You est diffusé. Cette chanson est utilisé dans la publicité du parfum de John Galliano, Parlez-moi d'amour, dont Taylor est l'égérie.  

- 25 Février / Mi-Mai 2012  : le groupe part en tournée en Australie, aux Etats-Unis ainsi qu'en Amérique Latine. Ils feront aussi la première partie de Marilyn Manson. 

- 6 Mars 2012 : un EP ( =petit album d'environ 7 pistes), Hit Me Like A Man est dévoilé.

- 9 Mars 2012 : le clip de My Medicine est dévoilé.

- Juin 2012 : les Pretty Reckless repartent en tournée.

 

*Make Me Wanna Die est présent dans l'épisode 9 de la saison 4 de Gossip Girl, sert de bande-son pour le bande-annonce officielle de la saison 2 de The Vampire Diaries et a été utilisée lors d'un défilé des Anges de Victoria's Secret.
